Parvathy Omanakuttan is unabashed by criticism
Kochi: Parvathy Omanakuttan, whose recent release in Hindi, Pizza 3D, received a lukewarm response, isn’t exactly moping around.
The film, widely touted to be her comeback venture, received a mixed response from critics and audiences alike. But the former beauty queen is least perturbed by the criticism and has taken things in her stride.
“Pizza 3D was a good film that went unnoticed. Had the film got two or three weeks running time, it would have caught people’s attention for sure. Having said that, I’ve seen enough ups and downs in life to be affected by petty criticisms. And all I got to hear was positive reviews about the film. Even otherwise, I’m unabashed by criticism.”
Rightly so, the actress has been reading some interesting scripts. “Filmmakers have approached me after seeing my performance in Pizza 3D. But it’s too early to talk as nothing concrete has happened yet,” she says.
Films apart, the actress, also one of India’s most well-known models has a lot of work on her platter. “Whatever I am today is because of my modelling career. And, I’m never out of work. I keep travelling a lot for my modeling assignments. My philanthropic activities also keep me busy. ”
The film’s fate has not dented her optimism. “I’m confident about my film career, just that it’s taking a little longer to take off, but my time will come. I will continue to do films and roles that challenge me as an actor,” she says as she signs off with confidence.
