Hyderabad: Whether a coincidence or a well-thought out action, Renu Desai, ex-wife of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, made an announcement on Tuesday, which was also Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, about their son Akira’s film debut, not in Telugu, but in a Marathi film.
The former Tollywood actress is making a Marathi film Ishq Wala Love and her son is acting in this film. The 10-year-old Akira Nandan is Renu Desai and Pawan Kalyan’s first child. “And now the fun news which I promised for 2nd... I’m so happy that as a mother I’m producing and directing my son’s screen debut... Yes, Akira is doing a guest appearance in Ishq Wala Love,” she announced on her social media website.
The actress went on to praise her ex-husband. “I had read somewhere that co-incidences r gods way of answering ur thoughts... its really & sincerely a huge co- incidence that the trailer of my directional debut is releasing on 2nd Sep. From 1999 I started learning my film making frm Pawan Kalyan garu. He is truly the best teacher I could ever get. I always wanted to thank him for the perfect film making course I got from him. The trailer was supposed to be ready for a 26th Aug launch, but due to some technical problem it got delayed to 2nd Sep. So I take it as an sign frm God to release my debut directions Trailer on his b’day & thank him again for teaching me how to make true, sincere& passionate films... (and when I told him abt this post, he simply laughed...) [sic]” says Renu Desai.
