Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor’s showbiz career started as a dancer in Shiamak Davar’s troupe. And no matter how many heights he’s scaled as an actor in the time since, Shahid still looks up to Shiamak for feedback regarding his performances.
The latest, we hear, is that Shahid is elated after Shiamak called him up to praise his performance in the promos for Bismil from the film Haider.
A source close to Shahid told us, “He often reaches out to Shiamak for feedback and to talk about the choreography for the dance routines in his films. This time around, Shahid was elated when Shiamak called him up after watching the new song Bismil from Haider. With the relationship that they share, Shahid knows that Shiamak will always give him honest feedback. Shiamak was full of praise for Shahid’s performance and spoke to him at length about it. Shahid couldn’t be happier about the praise from his guru.”
