Eros which was involved in film production and distribution is now expanding its wings after Soundarya took over as the company’s Director, Creative and Stratergy and has started buying audio as well as satellite rights of Tamil movies. As the first step, Soundarya has snapped up the audio rights of the Murugadoss directed Vijay’s Kaththi , for an undisclosed amount
The film is in the news for the alleged links of one of its producers with Sri Lankan President Rajapakse. The movie has been facing troubles as few organizations have opposed its release. Sources say that the production house was debating whether to hold a gala event for the audio launch or just to release it directly in stores. All said and done, it is learnt that Soundarya was bent upon releasing the audio in a grand manner on September 18.
Buzz is that taking the Superstar’s help, talks are on with high profile officials to provide proper security for the grand event. However, in an official statement Soundarya has said, “We are very excited to associate with the Kaththi team to release the music of this much awaited film. This move marks Eros’ debut in the Tamil music market and what can be more auspicious than joining hands with the stalwarts of Tamil cinema — Murugadoss, Vijay sir and youth icon Anirudh.”
