Watch: Theatrical trailer of Akshay Kumar's ‘The Shaukeens’

Mumbai: ‘The Shaukeen's’ trailer is finally out and we have three likeable stars of considerable and beloved vintage — Anupam Kher, Annu Kapur, and Piyush Mishra get together for frolic in Mauritius. The film directed by Abhishek Sharma of ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame, also stars Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon in lead roles.

The coming of age comedy is a remake of the 1982 classic ‘Shaukeen’ which featured Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and A.K. Hangal as three lecherous old men. The trailer introduces Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra as Laali, KD and Pinky respectively who land up in Mauritius on a quest for fun.

Akshay Kumar does not reprise Mithun Chakraborty's role from the original ‘Shaukeen’, instead plays himself, albeit an arrogant version, who throws off the camera from a fan’s hand saying, ” Ask me ma’am, before you take a photograph”. Lisa Haydon essays the role of a fangirl who boasts of an Akshay Kumar scrapbook.

The sight of Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra in their swimming trunks definetly piques our interest as to what kind of antics their characters get up to while in Mauritius.
