According to Cnet, HTC smartwatch, which was planned to be launched this festive season, is being delayed to early 2015. The smartwatch can be expected to go on stores along with the Apple Watch.
The HTC wearable is speculated to be called, ‘One Wear’, based on Google’s platform for wearable devices, Android Wear. However, the company is likely to use a redesigned version of Android Wear, like HTC earlier did, by layering the Android operating system with its own Sense UI for its smartphone.
Now that almost all its competitors have unveiled their smartwatch, HTC has a good opportunity to work on the drawbacks of the already existing wearable devices. Fingers crossed for the new HTC gadget!
