Nude pics of celebrities pulled-off from Google’s servers
More than tens of thousands of nude pictures of celebrities were hacked and leaked out to public. The hackers gained access to these pictures from their smartphones and cloud accounts and managed to make them public by leaking them online.
After celebrities threatened to sue Google for the pictures being published, Google has deleted the pictures completely from their search engines.
According to a report on BBC, Google has deleted tens of thousands of nude celebrity pictures that were leaked and published online by hackers. The report mentioned that the tech giant had deleted the pics within hours of the requests being made, and also closed hundreds of accounts related to the leaks. The move came in after a Hollywood lawyer threatened to sue Google over violation of privacy.
The New York Post published a four-page-long letter addressed to Google by the lawyer after the biggest celebrity hacking scandal in history. Celebrities targeted by the hackers in the scandal include Kate Upton, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary Elizbeth Winstead, Jennifer Lawrence and many others.
