Stylist Geetika’s work made sure actor was a hit at the SIIMA awards

Hyderabad: Coming all the way from Karnal, Haryana, 29-year-old Geetika Chadha is now the talk of the Telugu Film Industry, because of the language she speaks fashion.
The personal stylist of Rana Daggubati is a graduate in Computer Science from Delhi University who realised her passion and went on to complete her post graduation from Nift. Now based out of Hyderabad, Geetika came into the limelight after styling Rana for the recent SIIMA Awards.
“This is my first assignment working as a personal stylist for a star,” Geetika says, adding, “Rana is an amazing person to work with and he knows his style. He has a very refined and sophisticated sense of style. He is open to experimenting with new and interesting looks. Besides style, comfort is of importance to him.”
At the SIIMA Awards, all eyes were on Rana. Talking about styling the actor differently each day at the awards, Geetika says, “His look was different for press meets, award nights and the after-party. And Rana was open to these new looks, which I really appreciate,” she says, adding, “We kept it trendy and casual for the press meets. For the award nights we wanted each look to be unique; so on first day we decided on a
‘Jodhpur prince’ look keeping in mind the current look for his upcoming movie Baahubali. I gave him a Tarun Tahiliani ensemble along with Tan Brown Oxford shoes. For day 2, we wanted a more Western look with a shawl collar tuxedo with satin details.”
About her future plans, Geetika says, “Apart from being a successful stylist for actors, I would love to style for movies. I am currently working on styling for a Tollywood movie, Nala Damayanthi. A few other projects are in the discussion stage.”
