Comic Con’s back in Hyderabad
Zombies oozing chocolate blood to the Breaking Bad boys, this edition seems to be awesome!
Hyderabad: The mood is set and the characters and roles decided, it’s Comic Con time. This edition in Hyderabad, which will run for three days, had a slow start, but the pace picked up as the afternoon progressed.
And just when you thought that Comic Con’s second edition in Hyderabad was having a dull moment, in walked seven zombies, with Homer Simpson carrying a placard that read, ‘Worst Costume’ ever because he looked nothing like Homer at all.
“I had dressed up as a zombie last time as well this time we decided to walk in as a group. This took us about six hours since morning,” says Nitin Dominic, who had latex as torn skin and chocolate sauce for blood.
Many this year chose to take a break from the usual characters as people came as the Breaking Bad boys, the Flintstones and many more.
The theatre group Slick Rollers staged a 15-minute play titled, Superloosers. Taher Ali Baig, the director of the play says, “It’s a satire and we think it will suit the current generation well.” The play is set in a bar that is meant for superheroes like Batman, Spiderman and Superman, all of whom have lost their jobs.
All in all, this edition of Comic Con, with 100 stalls, is set to be a scorcher of an event with more excitement in the coming days.
