Boman had promised that he would perform Dia's 'kanyadaan' ceremony
Mumbai: Dia Mirza had informed the media prior to her wedding that Boman Irani would be doing the kanyadaan and a few other wedding rituals that are usually performed by the father of the bride. Dia had said, “It was a promise that he had made to me when we did Lage Raho Munnabhai together.”
So it was surprising to see Boman not turning up for the wedding at all, that took place on October 18 in Delhi. In the middle of all sorts of rumours doing the rounds, his manager clarified that it was work commitments that kept him away. “He could not be there as he was busy with a promotional video shoot for Happy New Year,” his manager said.
