Kangana learns Haryanvi dialect for Tanu Weds Manu sequel
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut, who is currently camped in Lucknow shooting for the sequel for Anand Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu, is going through an intense preparation process for the film.
In the sequel, Kangana plays a double role — one that features her as Tanu, wife of Manu (played by R. Madhavan) and the other has her playing a Haryanvi athlete.
According to a source close to the actress, shooting for the first role has already started and the athlete’s role will be shot only in the second phase of the schedule.
To perfect that role, we hear Kangana has hired a local girl from Haryana. Her name is Sunita Sharma and she is present on the sets to teach her the language and the dialect.
“Sunita is currently on the sets and Kangana spends a lot of time with her in between shots. She is learning the dialect and she is absolutely enjoying the process. She will start shooting for the athlete’s portion in the next schedule. For her, getting the language and the dialect correct is of utmost importance.”
The entire cast of the film, which also includes R. Madhavan and Jimmy Shergil, are part of the ongoing schedule in Lucknow.
