‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ trailer: Marvel releases teaser after leak
The trailer has leaked online, nearly a week before it was due to first air in the US
Here’s your first look at the highly anticipated new film 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', after the trailer for Marvel’s next blockbuster leaked online. Fans weren’t due to get an official sneak peek at the next instalment in the comic book-inspired franchise until next Tuesday.
“I’m going to show you something beautiful — everyone screaming ... for mercy,” Ultron’s voice says as the trailer opens. The trailer was meant to air in the US at the end of an episode of the television series 'Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'. but the full clip was leaked online. Returning for Age of Ultron is the original Avengers cast, including Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.
There are also two new characters in the form of siblings Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. It looks like they will side with Ultron. And Samuel L Jackson will also make an appearance as Nick Fury, the man who originally recruited the Avengers.
Fan forums went into meltdown when the clip surfaced online, sharing theories about the likely focus of the plot.
The film will focus on mega villain Ultron, voiced by James Spader, who looks to have been assembled with destroyed elements of Iron Man’s past suits. Part of the plot of the film Iron Man 3 included Downey Jr’s character Tony Stark dismantling his hero’s suits.
In response to the leak, the official Marvel Twitter account sent out a hilarious response:
Dammit, Hydra.
