Mumbai: Naseeruddin Shah is one of the finest actors in the industry. He has never really been a commercial hero but the veteran has proved himself in a variety of roles nonetheless. The actor seems to have no qualms about the fact that his son Vivaan, 23 chose to do a hardcore commercial entertainer like Happy New Year.
At a recent film festival, Naseer admitted that he wants his sons Imaad and Vivaan to figure their way in Bollywood. Reacting to his younger son’s latest release, he said, “I’ve seen Happy New Year. It’s of course a hard-core commercial film and who better than Shah Rukh can train Vivaan for commercial films? I think he’s in safe hands.”
The veteran actor said that his sons have the liberty to take a call on the films they want to do and the image they want to create for themselves as actors. “I’m always there for them. But they’re free to take their decisions.”
