Motorola’s new smartphone features a 21MP camera and battery life up to 48 hours

DROID Turbo will go on sale from October 30, 2014

Motorola has launched its new waterproof Droid handset – the DROID Turbo, which claims to offer a battery life up to 48 hours. The 5.2-inch DROID Turbo handset features a (1440 x 2560 pixel) Quad HD screen, runs on Android 4.4.4 OS and is powered by quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, with 3GB of RAM . It also sports a 21MP rear camera/2MP front camera.

The 3900mAh battery in the DROID Turbo can last up to 48 hours. Additionally, Motorola also stated that if the handset is charged using the Motorola Turbo Charger, it offers up to eight hours of power within 15 minutes.

Motorola also claimed that the DROID Turbo also features the Verizon-exclusive DROID Zap app, which helps you to Zap to TV or use your voice to Zap your screen.

DROID Turbo will be available in two variants – 32GB and 64GB. The company states that its 32GB will come in three colours: Metallic Black, Metallic Red or Ballistic Nylon. Whereas, the 64GB version of DROID Turbo will be available only in Ballistic Nylon.

DROID Turbo will be exclusively available on Verizon from October 30, 2014.
