'Rock On' writers Abhishek Kapoor and Pubali Chaudhuri fight over credits

Mumbai: The proposed sequel of 'Rock On' is currently in the scripting stage and has already become victim to controversy. According to a report in the Mid-Day, the film’s writer Pubali Chaudhari got into a tiff with Abhishek Kapoor ( Kai Po Che director) over the film’s script.
Writer Pubali Chauduri who has also written Rock On and Kai Po Che along with Abhishek Kapoor.
According to the report the story was conceptualised by Abhishek and fleshed out by Pubali, but Pubali registered the script with the Film Writer’s Association claiming it was solely written by her.
Excel Entertainment had approached Pubali after they reportedly had a fall out with Abhishek over creative differences. However both Pubali and Abhishek were working on the script of the sequel, before he decided to opt out of the project.
Now the dispute settlement committee of the Association has ruled that the script was co-written, and has upheld Abhishek’s allegations, the report stated. Pubali is not to happy with the verdict and has gone to Appellate Board to inspect the matter again.
