Watch: Locking lips from South to North for ‘Kiss of Love’
Mumbai: The 'Kiss of Love' movement emnatated Kochi a couple of weeks ago when alleged BJP supporters vandalised a popular coffee shop in Kochi -- an act seen as moral policing. To counter that, youth in Kochi staged a kissing protest At the city's Marine Drive.
The ‘Kiss of Love’ protest was started by a small group, Free Thinkers, led by short-filmmaker Rahul Pasupalan of Kochi.

Ever since then, the ‘Kiss of Love’ has caught the fancy of the nation's youth, being turned into a weapon aimed at religious and social bigots. The protests have been held in many cities, including Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
The Facebook page started by Free Thinkers was blocked by the police. However, this did not stop them from abandoning the previous page with over 70,000 ‘likes’ to create a new one. The new page is all set to hit 21,000 in just two weeks.

Following the kissing protest in Kochi students of Hyderabad University and Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay too stood in solidarity with them.
