'Photo-facial’ to give the perfect glow this wedding season
New Delhi: If you are getting married and looking for suggestions and ways to look your radiant best this wedding season, here is a non surgical beauty solution to get the perfect glow on your big day!
The latest beauty treatment that is fast becoming popular with brides is photo-facial, which is a skin treatment designed to slowly reverse the signs of photo-damage. It basically remedies the damage wreaked on the skin due to exposure to UV light, including pigmentation, blemishes, freckles, broken capillaries and fine lines on the skin.
Dr Sirisha Singh, the founding member and partner consultant of The Skin Center, said that this treatment, which is usually performed using IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) equipment, uses light in the visible spectrum which when flashed through the skin, has healing properties and slowly reduces the blemishes of the skin.
Dr. Singh added that this treatment is carried out once every 3-4 weeks and after an initial treatment cycle of 4-6 sessions, one can get maintenance sessions once every 3 months.
She also highlighted that it is very important to have a regular skin care routine whilst undergoing this treatment, which takes only about 20-30 minutes. Also, the procedure didn't cause any long term permanent side effects.
The initial benefits noted after this treatment is a reduction in the tan and the skin appears to have a more uniform tone and softer looking texture. However, after about 2-3 sessions one notices that the age spots and broken capillaries start to fade into the skin and once 6 sessions are completed, the skin tightens up and the overall appearance of the face appears softer, younger and firmer.
Dr. Singh further added that this is an ideal procedure for people in their 20's who are looking for a gentle, safe procedure for maintenance of their appearance.
