Sagarika Ghatge swears to be game for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’
The fresh season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is back with a bang with many known and unknown faces. After showcasing some of the most fear inducing stunts, the show returns for an all new season with a sizzling mix of glamorous celebrities ready to slum it out to win over their fears with the host Rohit Shetty.
While there are many artists participating in the show from the big screen this time, one actress to look out for will be our own ‘Chak De! India’ girl Sagarika Ghatge. Since the time she appeared on the silver screen, she succeeded in being the ladylove followed by winning million hearts in her award-winning role as Preeti Sabarwal in ‘Chak De! India’.
Although she says she is not much of an adventurous person but coming upfront for this kind of show’s set-up will bring out her courageous persona. “Honestly this is something that I am really excited to be a part of. Khatron ke Khiladi is a very cool show; it gets to your adventurous side. I have generally been a very guarded person so it will help me open up a lot.” Sagarika is thrilled to be a part of this show and she is determined to do the tasks given to her diligently. “I am looking forward to doing different things that I will probably never do otherwise.”
The actor who was in two minds when selected to do the role of Preeti Sabarwal is all set to show her raw side. “All my fans associate me with sports, so I think this is a good platform for me to connect with my fans through something they would have associated me with.” Sagarika does not believe in being a spoilsport no matter how scary the task is. “The fact that I have signed for the show means I am going to give my hundred per cent to try everything that I can. But this is something that I am saying now, if I am made to do something, I don't know how I am going to be reacting. So yes I am just very excited that’s all.”
The actress confesses that she has not been a loyal follower of the show, and has barely managed to watch one or two episodes. “The episodes I have seen we're quite excruciating. I saw the last season’s episode and that is the only one I managed to watch.”
While she swears to be game for the show she is not really clear about what scares her most. “It is not everyday that you go look down a hundred feet building and try to jump. Obviously when you are doing that it's going to be scary.” The leggy lass is up for doing things without any second thoughts and that is the spirit one should carry to maintain a foothold in this game. “Yes, I look very fragile but that way I am very up for doing things.” She also shares that unlike many who crib getting tanned under the sun during tasks, she will be very happy if she gets a little tan on.
