Designer Namrata Joshipura lists the must haves in your wardrobe this year

Hyderabad: Fashion got a little edgy with the uber stylish party dresses that Namrata Joshipura showcased at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in the city recently. For the designer, who is known for her chic party dresses, this collection was all about celebrating womanhood.
“Right from the texture treatment to adapting new age fabrics, the collection is all about celebrating women. I’m sticking to monochromes like black, white and gold with hints of red and blue here and there. Of course, my collection is never complete without shorts,” she said.
Given her expertise in the evening dressing scenario, we ask her to list the five must-haves for this party season. “Definitely long dresses, as they look very feminine. Then... jackets as they can be paired easily with a dress or shorts. Make way for blouses in your wardrobe, be it with miffed ties or ruffled shirts, they can again be paired with shorts or skirts.
Printed dresses and shirts are also favourites this season. Last but not the least, go for a fitting pencil skirt,” she says.
Namrata’s garments are a hit with her Hyderabadi clients too and she feels that the mindset here has evolved a lot. “The Hyderabadi market, per se, has become very progressive. At a recent gathering at a retail store in the city, I was surprised to see that the people didn’t opt for anything basic. They were ready to experiment,” she says.
