‘I made my uncles proud’ Sai Dharam

Hyderabad: Chiranjeevi’s nephew Sai Dharam Tej is happy with the result of his first film Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham.

“When I wanted to get into films, my mother was the last person to know about it. I only told her once my first film was confirmed,” he says, adding, “She had immediately replied, ‘don’t spoil mamayya’s (uncle’s) dignity’.

And today I can say that I have made all my uncles proud with this film.” He adds that he worked very hard for the film, keeping an eye on his uncles’ fame and name in the Telugu film industry.

“They have all reached their current positions with their hard work and I was a bit scared because I don’t want to spoil their name, but after this film I am now confident,” says the actor.

“I should thank three people, Y.V.S. Choudhary, who was the first to offer me a film, director A.S. Ravi Kumar, who offered me a second film when my first film didn’t release, and director Harish Shankar, who come forward to make a film with me without seeming my performance on screen,” says Sai Dharam Tej, adding that he is confident that his first film Rey will release soon and taste success.
