Rivalry on the sets of Everest

According to sources on-screen rivals Saattvic and Sahil share cold vibes off-screen as well

We’ve heard of on-screen friends being off-screen rivals, and on-screen pals sharing the same camaraderie in real life too. But this is a case of a reel-life rivalry that played out in real-life as well.

On the show Everest, the characters of Saattvic (Kabir, the leader of the team ‘Black Horses’) and Sahil Salathia (Arjun) didn’t see eye to eye.

Now, sources from the sets tell us that the situation was same even when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Apparently, Saattvic wasn’t happy with the fact that an established theatre actor like himself had been relegated to shared accommodation and utilities on the sets while Sahil, as one of the show’s lead actors, had his own vanity van and facilities.

This led to some friction between them during the 40-day shoot at the mountaineering institute.

When we contacted Saattvic, however, to confirm the reports, the actor said that all cast members shared a professional equation with each other.

“It was a wonderful experience working with Ashutosh (Gowariker) and the cast and crew of Everest. I played the leader of ‘Black Horse’ gang and it’s good to know that viewers hated me for my character because that only means I have acted well.

“I used to do my bit and head to my room as we had early morning shoots. I shared a professional relation with everyone on the sets”.
