No engagement anytime soon: Anushka Sharma

Band Baaja Baraat was a turning point in the now seven-films-old Anushka Sharma’s life. “I received compliments from many directors and producers after BBB and now I am working with them,” the actress says.

She also approaches each role in a different way. “I understand the character, get it set in my mind and then play it out, for example Bombay Velvet, a period film, needed a very different body language. I play the lead in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil a very different film where I work alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. I enjoy the versatility of each of my roles!”

On working with the Khans, she says, “Shahrukh is very spontaneous as an actor. His sense of humour is great, he talks a lot. Aamir Khan is a bit reserved by nature.

He speaks only when there is some reason to speak. They are both very different. And would I want to work with Salman? Yes, if there is an exciting script.” Talking about her work as a producer she says, “ForNH10 we have a budget, but a happy crew is also important. So during breaks we played cricket and had races.”
And finally, dismissing reports about her personal life she says,

“Engaged? Oh, come on! Where is all this coming from? I am fully focused on my career right now.”
