Pawan Kalyan’s party gets Election Commission’s recognition
Hyderabad: Jana Sena, the new political outfit launched by actor Pawan Kalyan just before the 2014 general elections, got registered with the Election Commission on Thursday.
Except a communiqué to this effect from the party media incharge Venugopal, Pawan Kalyan did not either made any statement over the development or reveal the next plan of action of the party.
Sources said Pawan Kalyan is busy with the story sittings and will come out with his plans soon. Registration of a new political party is a routine that Election Commission normally accepts after completing the formalities under the section 29A of the Representation of People Act 1951.
The new party is yet to form its committees across both the states. Pawan Kalyan, after launching the party on March 14 this year, had also announced that he will field candidates, but later withdrew the plan and supported the BJP-Telugu Desam alliance in the last general elections.
