Cakes, water bottles and more
Rajesh Kumar: He who became popular as Roshesh in Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai will be back in the same avatar for the opening episode of Star Plus’ show Tu Mera Hero. The channel apparently roped in Rajesh specially to portray Roshesh once again, but as the narrator. Rajesh told DC, “It was a short role but a crucial one. I play a narrator who introduces the lead characters and kick-starts the story. People ask why I agreed to do a cameo... well I agreed to do the role as I tell the story and give a backdrop on the characters and for me anything that has a part in telling the story is a role of significance.”
Karan Patel: He celebrated his birthday in November but cakes from fans and well-wishers continue to arrive on the sets. DC has learnt that although the actor is touched by the gesture, he has not cut any of them. The actor told us that he has taken a mannat that he will not cut a cake till he signs a big Bollywood film. Karan said, “I am waiting for that birthday when I can cut a cake again. The day my wish comes true! I want to be in a film and want to work hard towards it. That’s why I have decided not to cut a cake till then.” We’re sure Karan’s fans are hoping his wish comes true.
At times, TV actors have to shoot in the strangest of situations. We hear one such episode happened on the sets of Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. Our source reveals, “A dramatic scene was being shot between Nisha (Aneri Vajani) and her love interest (Viraj, played by Taher Shabbir) in a car. The director decided that a rain sequence would make the scene more dramatic. Since a water tanker wasn’t available on short notice, crewmembers stood besides the car, holding water bottles with holes in them, so that the actors could shoot for the sequence, in rain.”
