A basket of goodies
From buying presents for the family to deciding what to give guests when they drop by, December can be quite hectic. The solution to make this month stress-free is what three homemakers from the city are serving on a platter. To be precise, in a bamboo basket.
Rather than exchanging the same old and boring sweets, Ujjwala Samuel, Alma Rupa and Rebecca David, have come up with a unique goodie basket for Christmas.
The festive basket comprises of fondant stars, home-made chocolates, rum cake with cranberries, walnuts and prunes, cookies, aroma candles, a Christmas music CD, centre piece, fridge magnet, coffee mugs and aroma candles.
“For Diwali, people exchange sweets and you also have a lot of other gift options available in the market. But when it comes to Christmas, apart from rum cakes etc.
one does not have a lot of choice. So we have been working on this idea, where one can gift a package of assorted Christmas goodies,” says Ujjwala, adding, “All three of us have kids who go for the same music lessons.
With a lot of time on our hands, we decided to take this up; Rupa is very good at baking and for the other components, we travelled all over the city, to get it together.” You can place orders a day in advance.
