After the success of the horror-comedy Geetanjali, news is that Anjali has signed her next woman-oriented film Bhagmati.
The role which was initially offered to Anushka Shetty will be a gold mine for Anjali; the former turned down the offer citing date problems.
There was a buzz in the industry that the movie, which is being directed by Ashok of Pilla Jamindar fame, is an historical drama.
A little snooping revealed that Bhagmati isn’t a period film, but is actually going to be a thriller.
“The movie’s shooting started last month in America and the unit will continue to shoot in the States till January.
The movie is not a period film, but is a thriller with a good script,” said the source. Directed by Ashok, the movie is being produced under the banner of UV Creations.
