Praneet Bhatt, popular for his role as Shakuni in Mahabharat, is the latest to bid goodbye to the Bigg Boss house. We caught up with him on the sets of the show, immediately after his eviction and he said, “I’m feeling good seeing so many people, after quite a while.
The experience in the house was great. The Bigg Boss house is like a gurukul, where you learn to deal with so many tough situations, that you face in real life too.
I have faced these situations for 13 weeks and it’s a mini-India inside. Thirteen weeks is a long time and I have no regrets; I consider myself a winner anyway.”
Talking about the famous P3G group in the house (Puneet, Pritam, Praneet and Gautam) that has now lost one member, Praneet said, “The four of us connected on certain issues and we tried to find a constructive solution for what was happening inside.
The audience made P3G because they liked us as friends.” The actor added, “Honestly now that I’m out, I want one of the guys from P3G to win the show, especially Puneetji or Pritam.
Puneetji I feel is often misunderstood, he tries to solve problems with his own experience and technique but people don’t understand him. Pritam is a great guy, he tries to make tasks fun.”
Praneet was often accused of being lazy and not giving his 100 per cent in the tasks. The actor laughs, “Lazy agar main dikha hoon, toh kahi na kahi hounga (if I looked lazy, then somewhere, I must have been).
It’s okay… I feel that whatever can be done with love, in life, that is enough, you need not go beyond that.
You can’t win by warring, I’m an entertainer and that is my job to entertain the audience. Comedy is needed and I think I provided that. I did all my tasks in an entertaining way, without creating controversies.”
So what comes next? “Right now I just want to go home meet mom, dad and my girlfriend. I plan to take a holiday, then come back and take up a role that challenges me.”
Praneet recently missed a chance to meet his girlfriend Kanchan on the show, during a task, but he plans to make up for that by spending time with her now that he’s out.
About Kanchan, he told us, “She is from theatre background. Yes, we will marry soon, but you should tell her that whenever she decides, we will.”
