Amitabh Bachchan keen to work with Rekha if the right script comes along
Mumbai: The highly anticipated trailer of Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Shamitabh’ was unveiled at a grand red carpet event held yesterday. The film which has been the talk of the town ever since the first look has been revealed, didn’t manage to disappoint with it’s unconventional trailer.
While the makers have brilliantly managed to keep the plot under wraps, it was a known fact that the film will also feature Rekha. A lot has been written about Amitabh and Rekha over the years but the talks refuse to die down.
Amitabh said that they don't share screen space together, "We don't actually come together, its part of the sequence. When you see the film, you will understand how it's portrayed. But, yes it's always great welcome to have such great luminaries in the film," he said.
Ask him if we will see both of them in a film together, the actor replies, "Balki keeps saying he wants to design a film with us and if somebody comes along with an interesting script...then why not."
The film which also stars Dhanush has Akshara Haasan making her Bollywood debut. In 1985, Amitabh starred with Rajinikanth and Kamal Hasaan in ‘Geraftaar’. Now 30 years later, he will be sharing screen space with the next generation. Amitabh commented, “It’s difficult to compare the two as they (Dhanush and Akshara) have created their own legacy.”
