Madhurima Tuli, who played Tanu in Kumkum Bhagya, will now be seen as Akshay Kumar’s wife in the movie Baby. The actress says she has Ekta Kapoor to thank, who allowed her to quit the show, despite a six-month contract.
Madhurima says, “My character in Kumkum Bhagya was popular but I had also auditioned for Baby and director Neeraj Pandey selected me in four-five days. We had just 20 days before I began shooting and surprisingly Ekta accepted my resignation and let me quit immediately, even though I had signed a six-month contract.
I owe my big Bollywood break to her.” So it isn’t surprising that despite being caught up with Baby promotions, the actress made it a point to make few appearances in Ekta’s reality show Box Cricket League.
