Xiaomi launches a mobile charger-sized set-top-box

The Mi Box mini will go on sale from January 20 in China

At its 2015 flagship launch, along with the Mi Note and Mi Headphones, Xiaomi launched another device ­— the Mi Box mini. A successor of the Mi Box, Mi Box mini measure just one-fourth the size of the former set-up box, and fits like a power adapter.

Running on Android v4.4.2 KitKat, the Mi Box mini is powered by a 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of flash storage. The Android streamer also has a resolution of 1080 pixels, and supports DTS 2.0 and Dolby Digital Plus audio. Additionally, the Mi Box mini features 2.4G/5G dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth v4.0 for remote control and other accessories.

The Mi Box mini is priced at Chinese Yuan 199 (Rs 1,000 approx) and will go on sale from January 20 in China.
