KS Rama Rao lashes out at ‘I’ due to unavailability of theaters
The film Malli Idi Rani Roju was supposed to release this Sankranti but had to be postponed due to unavailability of theatres.
Popular producer K.S. Rama Rao, who has produced this film with actors Sharwanand and Nithya Menon in the lead, says: “Today the Telugu Film Industry is facing many problems and it is a pity that I am unable to release my Telugu film due to the release of I, which is a Tamil film.”
He added that a producer who bought the rights of the Tamil film created hurdles for his Telugu film. He is referring to, N.V. Prasad, who is the producer of the Telugu version of I and is currently the President of the AP Film Chamber of Commerce.
“Sankranti is a big occasion for the Telugu audience. I wanted to release the film on this festival, but the theatres were occupied with the dubbed Tamil film,” says Rama Rao.
He says that his film is far better than the two films that were released during Sankranti. He is now looking for a good date to release the film and has plans for next week or the coming week.
