'What’s another speech between friends?' says Obama on Modi
New Delhi: They are definitely more than just leaders of two of the world’s largest democracies. They are friends and they have no qualms in accepting it!
Acknowledging the so-called ‘bromance’ between PM Modi and him, US President Barack Obama began his speech at the Indo-US Business Summit on a lighter note.
“I thought PM Modi would be tired of me by now, but what's another speech between friends,” he said.

He went on to economic trade and bilateral relations between the two nations at the CEO’s meet at Taj Palace in New Delhi, while stressing on the need for a transparent investment environment.
During his speech, Obama also addressed PM Narendra Modi as the ‘President’ but was quick enough to rectify the error.
The chemistry between the leaders of the largest democracies in the world was electrifying- a leader pouring tea for a visiting head-of-state has been hitherto unknown, and PM Modi’s action has set a new precedent, which can only point to the growing warmth in Indo-US relations.

Obama has earlier said that, “We compared how much sleep each of us is getting. Turns out Modi is getting even less sleep than me. That is perhaps because he is new. After you have done it for 6 years, you can get an extra hour.”
The two leaders have made headlines because of their engagement that goes beyond the realms of being just political. They have been seen bonding pretty well; with the tea and the hugs, the ‘bromance’ has certainly brewed!
