BJP's ‘Vision Document’ has 'nothing new': Sheila Dikshit

Delhi is already considered as world-class city, she pointed out

New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday accused the BJP of 'picking up' Congress' achievements in its vision document, saying there was 'nothing new' in it.

"There is nothing new in their (BJP's) vision document. Delhi is already considered as world-class city. It has country's best airport, also may be overall ranked at number two or three in the world. All these things are already in Delhi," Dikshit told reporters.

"They have picked up Congress' achievements in Delhi in their vision document. Metro is there in Delhi, CNG buses, low floor buses and AC buses all these are there.

"What their vision document is saying, it says about making homes that is the responsibility of whosoever forms the government," she said.

The senior Congress leader said as a citizen she had expected the BJP would have said something about communal harmony or regarding Churches in the national capital which have been burnt.

"And also on the Hindu-Muslim riots. If they would have said something then it is good."

Four days ahead of the Delhi assembly polls, BJP today released a "Vision Document" laying down a road-map to make the national capital a world-class city with major focus on development and women security besides promising transparency in governance.
