Guntur: A student of second standard died on the spot and four other students have been injured in a school bus accident on Friday in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, a private school bus with 20 students onboard was going from Nutakki to Mangalagiri but the axial rod of the bus suddenly broke and the driver lost control.

The bus dashed into the fencing of Buckingham canal and overturned and slipped into the canal. Locals rushed to the spot and found a class II student, G. Lahari, dead. They rescued other students from the bus.
Injured students were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Mangalagiri police has registered a case and are investigating the matter.
