Prime Minister Narendra Modi waves along with UP Governor Ram Naik and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
"Mulayam Singh Yadav has not demanded single paisa (dowry) for the marriage because our hearts have met,” said Lalu Yadav.
A visibly happy Lalu Yadav told reporters, “I am glad that my daughter’s marriage is a much-talked about affair in the entire country.
Tej Pratap Singh Yadav later said that no politics should be seen in the Prime Minister’s visit.
The crowds went into a tizzy on seeing the Prime Minister on stage and hundreds of mobile phones could be seen furiously clicking pictures.

Seated between Mulayam Yadav and Lalu Yadav on the dais, the Prime Minister posed for keepsake photographs with other family members, including the children of UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, and then showered petals on the groom-to-be.
Though the wedding is being touted as the coming together of the Janata Parivar, it was PM Modi who stole the show.
