Pakistani singer roped in for Sunny Leone’s next song
The song Tere Bin was a rage on YouTube
Bollywood’s all set to welcome another young Pakistani heartthrob. Uzair Jaswal is the voice behind the soulful Sufi track Tere Bin in Sunny Leone’s upcoming film Ek Paheli Leela. Uzair is one of the most popular singers from Pakistan’s Coke Studio.
The song had been originally composed by him and he has tweaked it a little and lent his voice for the Indian version in the film. Choreographer Ahmed Khan (whose brother Bobby has directed the film) confirms, “Uzair Jaswal is an absolutely amazing singer. The song Tere Bin was a rage on YouTube, and hence a lot of producers wanted to acquire the rights to the song.
When I heard the song for the first time, I was sure that it will do wonders for the movie. When Bhushan (Kumar) heard the song, even he fell in love with it at that very instant. As a lot of producers in India were eyeing that song, we bought the rights of the song instantly.” He adds, “The song has been tweaked a little for Ek Paheli Leela to make it sound fresh and new for the audience.”
