Mumbai: ‘Dance India Dance’ judge and choreographer Geeta Kapoor, who was arrested on Thursday by the Versova police for rash driving was later released on bail, according to multiple reports.
Geeta apparently rammed her white Honda Accord into a pedestrian on JP Road in Versova at around 5 AM on Thursday morning. The incident took place outside a medical store, when the victim, Nisar Mohammed was exiting the shop.
The police confirmed that Geeta was not driving under the influence, and was arrested under section 279 and section 330 of the Indian Penal Code. The choreographer immediately rushed the victim to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, according to reports.
Reports also stated that Mohammed, who works as a driver and repairman suffered a fracture in his right leg.
