WC 2015: 7 things you didn’t know about the ‘Mauka Mauka’ man

Mumbai: The ‘Mauka Mauka’ man became a household name after the first commercial ahead of India-Pakistan tie in ICC World Cup 2015 went viral. But the irony is that he is not a man, but a teenager, and most importantly, not a Pakistani too.

Here are seven things about the man, whose good name is Vishal Malhotra, you did not know.

He is from Delhi and not a Pakistani: Though the Indo-Pak border isn’t far from the capital, he however, was born on this side.

He isn’t an Uncle: As they say looks can be deceptive, it applies best if one goes by the ‘Mauka Mauka’ commercials where Vishal dresses up as an Uncle. The credit must also be given to his stylist for making him look old. But, he is 25.

Mauka with Shah Rukh Khan: He did another commercial, before ‘Mauka’, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. See if you can spot him here.

Film with Sunny Leone: Vishal has played a cameo in Ragini MMS 2 with popular actress Sunny Leone.

Engineer: The man has an engineering degree and has also worked for Accenture. After quitting his job, he enrolled in Balaji acting school in Mumbai. It seems he can play the guitar too.

Test run: The Indo-Pak ‘Mauka Mauka’ ad was supposed to be his one and only one. But he was called back for the series after it became popular.

Fatso to dude: Vishal was extremely overweight during his childhood. Much like Arjun Kapoor, he worked out and shed 40 kgs before being screen-fit.
