Rumoured to be Ranveer’s stunt double, the man is actually a character actor in Bajirao Mastani
Mumbai: Here’s an update from the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani: Recently, several photos were doing the rounds of social media, of an actor from the film, claiming that he was a body double for Ranveer in the war sequences. Sources from the sets, however, clarified that the man is in fact, a character actor, and not a stand-in for Ranveer as was conjectured.
“The picture that was clicked on the sets of Bajirao Mastani was that of a character actor who is part of the supporting cast. He is not a body double for Ranveer’s role of Maratha peshwa Baji Rao as is believed,” our source clarified.
After this instance, the team is taking several precautions to guard the actual looks of the lead stars. “There was speculation that Ranveer is on a break from the shoot due to his injury and his body double is shooting instead, but that isn’t true either,” our source added.
