Telangana turns down AP’s Class IV employees
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has changed its mind in taking class IV employees from AP. In the file sent by the C.R. Kamalanathan committee, appointed to divide the state cadre employees between the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana government has rejected class IV employees.
In previous discussions, the Telangana government had told the Kamalanathan committee that it would absorb all the class IV employees. However, recently the Telangana government changed its mind and now wants to recruit class IV employees on its own.
There are around 400 class IV employees working in the Secretariat and in the head of the departments.
Meanwhile, the Kamalanathan committee has taken a final decision on allotment of the employees of 73 heads of departments and three Secretariat depa-rtments. The Kama-anathan committee has notified the posts in these departments after allotment betw-een the AP and TS governments.
The Kamalanathan committee has notified the allotment of 19,980 posts to AP and 14,051 posts to TS.
Three departments — finance, law and single units (assistant section officer to additional secretary) — from the Secretary were allotted to the two states. AP was allotted 2,748 and TS was allotted 1,871 posts. In the HODs, AP and TS were allotted 34,031 posts but currently there are only 21,223 eligible people leaving 12,808 posts vacant. In the three departments of the Secretariat, the states were allotted 4,619 post, while there are only 3,048 eligible people, leaving 1571 posts vacant. The Committee will, later on, allot the vacant posts between the two states.
