Xiaomi is continuously expanding its business by launching a series of smartphones, tablets, headphones, powerbanks and smart TVs as well. The company has launched a new Android TV- Xiaomi Mi TV 2 featuring a 40-inch display. Unfortunately, it turns out that the new Mi TV 2 is not a successor of the Mi TV recently launched, but is an older variant.

The 40-incher full HD display of Mi TV 2 offers a contrast ratio of 5000:1. The chipset of the newly launched Mi TV 2 is equipped with a Cortex-A9 quad-core 1.45GHz CPU, Mali-450 GPU, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM.
Xiaomi Mi TV 2 offers 8GB of flash storage memory. In terms of playback, the MI TV 2 supports video formats such as H.265, H.264, MPEG4, REAL, RM, FLV, MOV, AVI, MKV, TS and MP4.
At present, Xiaomi’s Mi TV 2 is available for CNY 1,999 in China. There’s no official announcement regarding the launch date in India. However, we expect it to launch in India by mid-2015.
