My favourite on set is Karan, says new entrant Ashnoor Kaur in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'

Mumbai: Ashnoor Kaur plays the cute Naira in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', after the show took a leap last week. Speaking about how she got the part Ashnoor says, “I got a call to audition. Two of us were selected for the look test me Avneet (Kaur) and I. Finally, I was confirmed as Naira.”

The actress says she totally identifies with her character. “The only difference is Ashnoor kisi ki chugli nahi karti. Otherwise I am as dramatic and papa’s girl.”

Being a new entrant in a show that is running so long cant be easy but Ashnoor fit right in. “On the first day itself I got along with Karan bhaiya and Hina didi, we were laughing and joking. My favourite on set is Karan (Mehra). Rohan bhaiya (who plays Naksh) insists on rehearsing our lines a lot.”

The team recently shot in South Africa, recalling the experience Ashnoor says, “Luckily we had Indian food on set. We went boating, helicopter ride and visted table mountain national park. All of us were missing family lot. Our last shot there was the gangaur scene. We were shouting and took epic shots.”

When she isn’t shooting the young actress catches up on studies. “I attend school for half day and come to shoot.I carry books on set, mama teaches me. I carry games to play when I’m bored."
