HTC One M9: India launch date revealed
HTC unveiled its flagship handset of this year – HTC One M9 on March 1, at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Till date, there hasn’t been any official information regarding the India launch date of HTC One M9.
However, latest reports state that HTC has sent out invitations to the media for an event in New Delhi, which has been scheduled on Tuesday. HTC could possibly launch the HTC One M9 in the Indian market on April 14, 2015.
HTC One M9 sports a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, the handset runs on 5.0 Lollipop OS. It offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage capacity. Additionally one can also expand the storage capacity of HTC One M9 up to 128GB via microSD card.
At the MWC 2015, HTC claimed that the handset carries the third generation smartphone design and its 20MP rear/ 4MP front-facing camera could capture high-resolution photos. However, according to the in-hand reviews, the rear camera of the HTC handset doesn’t seem to be up to the mark.
Monica Who?, a Twitter user, tweeted that she still hasn't decided on which phone should she consider buying- Samsung Galaxy Edge S6 or HTC One M9.

Monica Who?, also directed a tweet to the chief of HTC USA, claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Edge S6 could be a better option, as compared to the HTC One M9. Jason Mackenzie, the chief of HTC USA replied to this tweet, announcing the company’s plans to upgrade the software of the rear camera. The camera will receive a software update on April 17, 2015.

Latest reports state that the company has already upgraded the software on a handful of HTC One M9 smartphone models. The Toshiba-made 20MP BSI sensor update promises to give out better quality photos, even in low-light environment. Though the market price of HTC One M9 hasn't been revealed yet, we expect the handset to be priced between Rs 40,00 to Rs 50,000.
