Release of 'Tanu Weds Manu 2' makes R Madhavan nervous
Mumbai: After working together in '3 Idiots', Raj Kumar Hirani and R. Madhavan have teamed up for the second time.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Raju's plans on making a Sanjay Dutt biopic has taken a back seat, now that he intends to focus his attention on making a film with Maddy titled 'Saala Khadoos'. While the director had earlier planned to make a biopic on Sanjay Dutt’s life, now, he wants to concentrate on the upcoming bilingual (Hindi and Tamil) film.
'Irudhi Suttru' aka 'Saala Khadoos' will see Madhavan sporting a completely different avatar for which the actor was asked to beef up a bit. Present at an event the actor spoke to us on how he feels on becoming Hirani's blue-eyed boy . “From past three years I have been putting my blood and sweat. I had isolated myself from the industry so that’s the least that I could do,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Madhavan’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ is up for release for which he is also travelling all around the country to promote. The first instalment of the film was released four years ago, which became a hit but failed to catch the pulse of the masses.
However, the sequel has turned out to be bigger and better, thus raising the expectations of not only the audience but industry insiders too. Ask him how he feels about this and he says, “Expectation is of utmost importance and I feel if this film doesn’t rise to the expectations of the masses then people from the industry will feel bad. The way the whole film industry has accepted this film is actually making me very nervous as I haven’t seen so much love from the industry before.”
