Snapdragon 615 chipset war: Mi 4i vs Galaxy A7 vs Desire 820 vs OPPO R5
Xiaomi recently launched a premium mid-range smartphone, the Mi 4i, which goes quite easy on your pocket. The Mi 4i looks chic, and is a power-packed smartphone in its category. It is equipped by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with 2GB of RAM.
Other than the Xiaomi Mi 4i, 2015 witnessed the entry of a few more premium smartphones that feature almost identical build quality and hardware specifications. Therefore, we decided to bring down all these smartphones for a one-on-one, and analyse which of the smartphones emerge as the recommended one.
Presently, the Mi 4i has three strong contenders in the market, the HTC Desire 820, the Samsung Galaxy A7 and the OPPO R5, when compared to similar hardware and specifications. The table below draws the similarity and differences in the specifications of the four smartphones.
Without much thought, out of the four smartphones the Xiaomi Mi 4i stands out. With the price tag almost half of that of the other three smartphones, the Mi 4i stands strong against the HTC, Samsung and OPPO flagships. The Mi 4i also sports the largest battery amongst the four (i.e. Li-ion 3120 mAh), which easily lasts the user for more than a day. Additionally, even though OPPO R5 is the world’s slimmest smartphone, Mi 4i still takes away the points for being the lightest among the four. However, the Xiaomi Mi 4i loses a point for a limited internal storage, when the HTC Desire 820 and the Samsung Galaxy A7 offer an expandable memory option.
