She and her husband do not fight

Hyderabad: Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming film 365 Days is about love, bonds and emotions of a couple. “You can see in the film some real incidents from my life,” says Ram Gopal Varma adding that he has taken inputs from his friends’ experiences too. The director says that he is not giving any advice or coming to any conclusions, he is just showing a couple’s emotions and how they behave after marriage. “Everybody can relate to it. It is the story of every boy, every girl,” he says.
He reveals some facts about his married life. “When a fight happened, I felt I was right and my wife was wrong. But now, I realise that she was right. And I regret behaving the way I did,” he says.
“I wanted to get a break in films with Shiva and my mind was full of the film. So when my wife wanted attention I felt she was coming in the way of my getting a break. However, her point was that she was not bothered with what I was doing, what mattered was that I was not at home! From her point of view, she was totally right,” says RGV adding that more such incidents could be seen in the film.
When asked whether his daughter, who is married, gave any tips, RGV says, “Yes, once I completed the script, I asked her to read it. She suggested a few changes, especially in the climax.” She, however, also told him that everyone has different opinions and that his idea was the best. “I changed the dialogues in the climax a bit,” he says.
When asked about his daughter’s marriage, “They are very happy, so happy that they are a boring couple. I would have liked them to quarrel, but they never do. I am extremely happy as a father, but as a director I am disappointed that they don’t quarrel,” says RGV in his typical style.
He added that his daughter was not influenced by him. “She knows me very well. She can predict what I am going to say. Yet she doesn’t have my influence. She is completely different,” he says.
Does RGV admire any actor? “I admire only two actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi. I have watched their films after standing in a queue for tickets,” he says. He added that he is planning Sarkar 3 with Amitabh.
