Chandrababu Naidu to smile in Andhra Pradesh offices
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s photograph has been made compulsory in all government offices, including in the chambers of the secretaries of various departments.
The AP government has directed all the departments to display the CM’s photograph and also delivered new photos to all offices. It is common to display the CM’s photos in the ministers’ chambers, at the zilla parishad, mandal parishad and other offices. But now, the government has directed all the secretaries and heads of departments to also display the CM’s photo.
In the past, the Chief Minister’s photographs were never displayed in the secretaries chambers, except in the information department. In the ministers’ chambers, Mr Naidu’s photos have been on display since the Telugu Desam government came to power. Now, the government has sent new laminated photographs of Mr Naidu for display as the old ones apparently do not have him smiling.
In the Secretariat, some secretaries display the CM’s photo and some do not. One senior IAS officer said that in his 30-year tenure there was never any CM’s photo displayed in his chambers. Meanwhile, officials said that the government has sent Mr Naidu’s photos to all offices in the state.
