BlackBerry launches Leap smartphone for Rs 21,490
Showcased at the Mobile World Conference, BlackBerry has unveiled Leap smartphone in India, which is available in the market at a price of Rs 21,490. The device will be available beginning May 12, at all BlackBerry exclusive stores.
The BlackBerry Leap features a 5-inch display with 720x1280 pixels HD resolution. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset, which comprises of a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. It is equipped with an internal memory of 16GB, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. On the connectivity front, the BlackBerry Leap features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, microUSB v2.0, along with Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, EDR, LE.
Running on BlackBerry OS 10.3.1, the Leap sports an 8MP primary camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front facing camera. The smartphone is powered by a non-removable Li-ion 2800mAh battery, which the company claims to give a run-time of 25 hours.
