I’m proud she’s a guru now: Subhash Ghai
Madhuri Dixit has been in the news of late for a dance app she and her husband launched recently. The actress and dance diva had invited her close friends and peers from the industry to grace the event and among them were Subhash Ghai and Saroj Khan. The filmmaker seemed to be in a nostalgic mood at the do. He said, “Saroj Khan, Madhuri and I started our careers together. I remember her during her earlier days when she was this Kathak dancer, not accustomed to Bollywood numbers. Now when I see her, she has come a long way of course.”
The filmmaker had lofty words of praise for Madhuri and her husband. “The most important thing in this industry is getting work. After you achieve everything, the next thing you do is spread it amongst the people. Giving people a part of our success and letting them share it with you is the biggest thing and I’m proud of Ram (Dr Sriram Nene) for supporting Madhuri for helping her distribute her talent to the millions of people across the world. She was a shishya once, I’m now proud that she is a guru too,” he added. Subhash went on to mention how he’d like a few others to start their own schools.
“Anupam (Kher) already has one, now Madhuri has one too. I think Anil Kapoor should start a spa to teach people how to look young eternally. Jackie (Shroff) should open a car dealing or a motorcycle invention workshop, so that people know how to be a rockstar,” Subhash says.
