Deepika Padukone-starrer Piku continues to do well not just in India but abroad too. Now, we hear one of Deepika’s closest friends stays in New York, US. A source close to the actress reveals, “Her friend messaged her saying how she is not able to watch Piku as she couldn’t get tickets over the weekend. She even tried to pre-book tickets for Monday, but to no avail. Piku has been doing exceptionally well in the overseas market but Deepika was not expecting such a call. She was elated and actually quite enjoyed her friend’s banter. She shared the news with the distribution team. Deepika also requested them to check if they can arrange tickets for her friend in the US.”
“The team made a few calls and arranged the tickets, after which Deepika called her friend and asked her to collect them. The actress is glad the Indian audience abroad too is loving the film,” adds the source.
